The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is looking for help from the public to identify three suspects involved in an armed robbery on Salem Cove Trail Nov. 24.
According to reports a 21-year-old victim was walking home from the Dollar General in Salem Plaza on Salem Road when he was approached by three black males, between 6:20-7:12 p.m.
One of the black males pulled out a handgun and demanded money while taking a watch, jacket, cell phone and chips from the victim. According to a release by the NCSO that suspect was described as a brown-skinned black male, approximately 5-foot, 11-inches, 160-165 pounds in his 20s with a thin build and was wearing black pants or sweat pants with a black hoodie.
The second suspect was described to NCSO as a dark skinned black male, possibly wearing a grey or white hoodie, slightly taller than the other suspects. The third suspect was simply described as wearing black hoodie to NCSO.
