Two Newton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were recognized Tuesday for work keeping impaired drivers off the road.
Corporal Jacob Rice and Deputy Matt Holbrook received award pins from Precious Johnson, senior program specialist for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) and special recognition from J.R. Harper, D.R.E. Training Coordinator for Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
“The pin awarded represents the amount of hard work, motivation and dedication Cpl. Rice and Deputy Holbrook have shown by keeping drug impaired drivers off the streets in our community,” the NCSO said in a press release.
