The event is a fundraiser for Southern Heartland Arts Inc. and will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 and are available through Friday. For information or reservations, call the gallery at (770) 788-8799, or call co-chair Susan Wahl at (770) 464-0065.

The buffet dinner by Stalvey’s will include prime rib, lemon chicken, salad, vegetables and dessert.

The auction will feature items including a two-night stay in a two-bedroom villa at Lake Oconee’s Cuscowilla Resort. The stay includes golf for four with caddy.

You can also bid for a package that includes a two-night stay in a new, two-bedroom cabin with a dock on Lake Richard B. Russell, and 18 holes of golf at Arrowhead Pointe.

Other prizes include a two-night stay at Biloxi’s Beau Rivage; a barbecue dinner for 16, antique furniture, and a week-long stay in a three bedroom, three bath beach home near Carabelle, Fla.

A silent auction will run throughout the evening, offering a chance to bid on items including painted furniture, paintings, and other visual art offerings.

You can participate in casino gaming with play money following the auction. Your play money earnings can be cashed in for raffle tickets that can be deposited on door prizes. There are more than 40 door prizes offered, valued at $50 to $300.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Southern Heartland’s instructional fund and its James P. Hayes Cardinal Scholarship Fund. The fund provides scholarships to graduating seniors and to summer arts camp programs, among other opportunities.

Event sponsors include United Bank and Air Conditioning Specialist, Inc.
