LAWRENCEVILLE - A Gwinnett County woman accused of killing her infant daughter in 2009 is scheduled for trial this week.

Erica LaShae Graham will stand trial today before Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge Ronnie Bachelor. Graham is charged with murder and cruelty to children after the death of her 3-month-old daughter, Aubrey.

Police said Graham called authorities to say she'd put her daughter in her playpen and found the infant unresponsive two hours later. Police said the injuries discovered on the baby were not consistent with Graham's story.

An autopsy revealed the baby died of head trauma.

A defense attorney for Graham has said the medical evidence does not prove that Graham caused the fatal injury.
