Strut your stuff and make a difference at the same time at the upcoming Miss Sweetheart Relay 2012 Pageant.
The pageant will take place at 2 p.m. at Eastside High School on Sunday, Oct. 9, but applications and entry fees are due by Oct. 4. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. the day of the pageant. Each contestant will be judged on gown only and the gown should be age-appropriate for the division.
Open to girls of all ages, the natural-look pageant is $60to enter, witch checks made out to Relay for Life. The entry fee includes beauty, photogenic, prettiest hair, prettiest smile and prettiest dress. There will be an on-site photographer who will offer packages and donating money from each order to Relay for Life. No outside cameras will be allowed. Orders may be placed the day of the pageant.
The age divisions are Baby Miss (birth-18 months); Toddler Miss (19-35 months); Wee Miss (3-4 years); Little Miss (5-6 years); Young Miss (7-9 years); Pre-teen Miss (10-11 years); Teen Miss (12-13 years); Jr. Miss (14-16 years - will answer one on-stage question); and Miss (17 and up - will answer one on-stage question).
The Miss Spirit Relay will be presented to the contestant that raises the most money to be donated to Relay for Life and all participating in this portion will receive a special prize.
Queen awards in each division will receive a crown and custom-made banner. Participation trophies will be awarded and an award will be given for photogenic winner in each age division. Special awards will be presented for prettiest hair, prettiest smile and prettiest dress in each age division as well.
Admission is $5 for adults (one parent is admitted free with contestant) and $2 for students. Children age 5 and under are admitted free.
