Marion C. Middlebrooks Jr. of Covington, passed away Tuesday August 13, 2013 at Newton General Hospital. He was born in 1943 in Covington, the son of Marion C. (Sr.) and Geraldine McCullers Middlebrooks. He was a loving father, grandfather and uncle. He enjoyed bluegrass music and attending bluegrass festivals. He also enjoyed motorcycle rallies and spending time with his family.

Mr. Middlebrooks is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Angela and David Holcombe, of Covington; son, Jeffrey Middlebrooks, of Covington; sister and brother-in-law, Althie and Johnny Chambers, of Covington; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Shaw, Tyler Middlebrooks; and nephews, Wayne and Tim Chambers. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Geraldine and Marion Middlebrooks Sr.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 16, at chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, with Brother Franklin Rutledge officiating. Interment will be at Haynes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Guests may sign the online register book at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
