A 26-year-old man is accused of raping a teen girl on May 5 at a home of Ga. Highway 142.

Daniel Lamar Brooks of Oxford was charged with rape on May 11 following an investigation by the Newton County Sheriff's Office into the allegations.

According to 1st Lt. Mark Mitchell, Brooks and the victim knew one another and were both at a residence in Highway 142 when the incident took place.
