The Covington Lions Club will hold their 42nd Annual Chicken BBQ at their pavilion on Conyers Street from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on April 9.

Plates consist of ½ of a pit roasted chicken, BBQ sauce, cole slaw, bread and chips for $8 per plate. Free iced tea and coffee are available on premises. There will be a drive-thru for pickup at the American Legion parking lot across the street of the pavilion.

Deserts will also be available for a donation.

The Chicken BBQ works as a fundraiser for the Lions Club to help needy children and adults who are sight and hearing impaired with eye exams, eyeglasses and hearing aids. Through the Georgia Lighthouse for the Blind, they also provide funds for eye surgeries.
