Dozens of emergency and public works crews from around Newton County are working on clearing 80 roads Tuesday in the aftermath of Tropical Storm force winds that came through the county from Hurricane Irma.
Twenty Newton County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) deputies, seven Newton County Fire Services teams and four Public Works crews are working on repairing power lines and clearing trees and debris from roadways.
