Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in a case of aggravated assault, kidnapping and armed robbery in conjunction with Newton County Sheriff’s Office investigators.

According to the NCSO, a motorist observed a black male in his early 30’s, wearing a bloody undershirt and boxers, walking near Hwy. 162 and Hwy. 36 in southern Newton County Monday. The motorist stopped to help the victim and called the 911 center.

The NCSO said initial information indicates suspects the victim was taken in DeKalb County earlier that morning and transported to Newton County by the kidnapper. The victim, reportedly, was shot and dumped near a vacant residence off Hwy. 162. He was transported to an area hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
