Deputies from the NCSO are searching for a group of black males who allegedly fired shots and busted into a home on Oak Terrace Drive late Wednesday night.
When they arrived at the home they spoke with a juvenile that was staying at the home with his grandmother. He reportedly told deputies that he was upstairs and his grandmother was in the living room downstairs when he heard a loud bang and what sounded like three gunshots.
The juvenile ran downstairs to check on his grandmother and noticed that the rear door had been forced open. He ran outside and headed to a neighbor's house for help.
Deputies then spoke with the juvenile's grandmother who was "extremely upset," according to reports. The woman allegedly told them she had been watching television in the living room when she heard a loud noise and three gunshots and noticed the back door was open. She ran to the front door and saw three black males running up Arbor Lake Drive between houses.
Neither the woman nor her grandson could identify the males, but the juvenile did tell deputies he noticed a group of four or five black males standing across the street earlier in the evening. He said one was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and that others were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. He said he saw those same males running from the residence after hearing the loud bang.
According to reports there was a bullet hole in the cable box and damage to the television in the home.
