Michael G. Geoffroy of Covington has finished his term as president of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. He turned over the gavel to incoming President Stephanie J. Kirijan of Atlanta during the organization’s annual meeting recently at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

A solo practitioner in civil litigation and general law, Geoffroy is a graduate of the University of Florida and earned his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia Law School in 2001. He was recognized as one of Georgia’s "Legal Elite" by Georgia Trend magazine and as a "Rising Star" by SuperLawyers and Atlanta magazine in 2011. He also volunteers with the Georgia Legal Services Program to take pro bono cases and ensure access to justice for all Georgians, regardless of wealth
