The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Newton County as the temperature is expected to get down to 32 degrees tonight.
There’s a 10 percent chance of snow after 5 a.m. until about 10 a.m., then a 30 percent chance of rain during the day. Little to no accumulation of snow is expected.
The freezing temperatures will impact early budding and flowering vegetation, the weather service said, and “those with agricultural interests in the warned area are advised to protect tender vegetation.”
