Covington Mayor Ronnie Johnston recently signed a proclamation for Federation Day for the five- area General Federation of Women’s Clubs located in Newton County.

The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs is an international group of women who are focused on serving their communities and celebrated 123 years of organized service on April 23.

Members, including all club presidents of the GFWC Georgia Heartland Woman’s Club, GFWC Georgia Violets Junior Woman’s Club, GFWC Georgia Service Guild of Covington, GFWC Georgia Covington Woman’s Club, and the GFWC Georgia Junior Service Guild of Covington were in attendance.
