ATLANTA-Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, requests the assistance of the public in identifying and locating the individual believed to be responsible for the following armed bank robbery at Covington, Georgia:
On Thursday, August 26, 2010, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a lone black male entered the BB&T Bank, 3110 Highway 278 NE, Covington, Georgia, displaying a weapon and loudly announcing a bank robbery. The robber immediately vaulted the teller counter while demanding money from the teller.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident and was observed fleeing the premises in a silver Lexus.
