FBI looking for Decatur bank robbers

The FBI needs your help in identifying and locating bandits who robbed the Bank of America branch at 2850 Candler Road in Decatur on Wednesday.

According to a press release from Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin, the two bandits wielding black, semi-automatic handguns entered the bank at 3:11 p.m. One of the robbers put a gun to the head of a customer and demanded money from the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robbers fled in a maroon 2002 GMC Envoy driven by a third subject. The vehicle had been reported stolen overnight in Atlanta and was found abandoned near the bank.

The first robber is described as being a black male, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall, medium build, unknown age, wearing a black ski mask, white long sleeve t-shirt, dark pants, dark shoes, and wearing latex gloves.

The second robber is described as being a black male, approximately 5-foot-9-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall, medium build, unknown age, wearing a white ski mask, grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark shoes, and wearing latex gloves.

A third man, the driver, is also sought. There is no description of this person at this time.
