Social Circle Elementary School received their pedometers from the Fuel Up to Play 60 grant recently and kicked off the event Monday, with a goal to make the school and its students healthier.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an interactive program that lets the school and students decide what to do in order to make the school healthier. At SCES the students and staff will chart each of their steps in a goal to trek across Georgia and walk from the mountains to the sea mile-wise.
The thought is that for at least 60 minutes each day students and staff will engage in physical activity and also make a commitment to eat healthy.
