Rocky Plains Elementary to hold Fall Festival

The Rocky Plains Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization is sponsoring their annual Fall Festival this Friday, Oct. 28 from 5 until 8 p.m. The festival will be packed full of affordable fun for the whole family and is a community event.

Featuring four inflatable bounce houses, bowling, an indoor maze, hay rides, a duck pond, sucker pull, cup toss, card making for our troops, tattoo station, a barrel train and a cake walk, the festival only costs $12 for the first wrist band and $10 for each additional wrist band if purchased in advance. Tickets are five for $1. Most activities can be enjoyed with the purchase of an wrist band. Festival attendees have unlimited access to the inflatables with the purchase of an wrist band. Wrist bands can be purchased the night of the festival for $15 and tickets are four for $1.

A fairy tale costume contest will be judged at 7 p.m. with a boy and girl winner from each grade. Craft vendors, face painting and hair doodles will also be on hand for an additional fee. A full menu including Chick-fil-A, hot dog and nacho meals as well as a sweet shop will be available. Live entertainment will be provided by local talent.

PTO Vice President Rose Walters-Stagemeyer said "We're looking forward to another great festival this year. Having the four inflatable bounce houses means the kids will get to spend less time waiting and more time having fun."

The festival will be at Rocky Plains Elementary School, 5300 Ga. Highway 162, Covington.
