On Dec. 1-2, the Piedmont Academy FFA Dairy Judging team went to ABAC to compete in the state Dairy Judging Competition. The team consisted of Clayton Carter, Hailey Hooper, Lawton Harris, and Rylee Owens. (Left to Right in the picture) At the competition, the team gave great effort and was very competitive. The students had to judge four classes of dairy cows and give reasons why they placed the cows in their rankings. Lawton Harris earned the ranking of first in the state. There were 96 contestants at the event. We are extremely proud of Lawton and she will be honored at the State FFA Convention.
