COVINGTON, Ga. - Peachtree Academy is proud to announce the 2019 Elementary School teachers of the year for 2019. This distinct honor recognizes two outstanding educators who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to the success of each student that they teach.
Mrs. Melissa Upton is going on her 20th year of teaching at Peachtree Academy and she loves her students and enjoys seeing all of her “kids” that graduated from Peachtree this year and those who have graduated from college and are enjoying their own careers.
She is a legend among parents and students and loves the opportunity to teach students to read successfully and is well deserving of this great honor bestowed upon her by her colleagues at the Covington campus. She is married to Randy Upton and lives in Oxford. She is looking forward to her daughter, Kelsey’s, wedding this summer.
Mrs. Julie Treadwell is a veteran educator who is passionate about her area of expertise at Peachtree, which is ART! She is loved by her students and colleagues in the Elementary school and she was voted as the Teacher of the Year at the Elementary campus in Conyers.
Her devotion to the students and helpful attitude towards others makes her a superstar – both in and out of the classroom. She presented several art shows and events throughout the year. She lives in Monroe with her husband Sam and she is a proud mother and grandmother.
