NHS names its Top 11 students

Newton High School recently named its top 11 students for the Class of 2014. There was a tie for the number nine position, so there are 11 top students instead of 10 top graduates this year.

Newton High’s valedictorian is Richelle St. Louis, who plans to attend Emory University and major in anthropology. The salutatorian is Vitaliy Semenikhin, who plans to study aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech.

Other top students and their colleges of choice and majors include Gloria Alafe, Emory University, human biology/anthropology; Antonia Alvarez, Georgia Tech, electrical engineering; Brendan Brown, The Citadel or Naval Academy, cyber operations; Ifeoma Egbulem, The University of Georgia, biological science; Sierra Fleming, Georgia State University, biological science; Kenquavius McCollum, Emory University, undecided; Kyana Morris, Stanford University, chemistry; Jeffrey Fallah, Emory University, public health; and Kaitlyn Smith, The University of Georgia, world language education.
