Students interested in attending the Academy of Liberal Arts at Newton High School have the opportunity to apply now through Feb. 28, to be part of the graduating class of 2017.

The application process consists of completing the application, two teacher recommendations, academic and behavior review and a student/parent interview. After all paperwork has been received, the students who qualified will be asked to attend a student/parent interview.

Students must meet ALANHS minimum requirements in order to have their application reviewed for admission. ALANHS’ minimum requirements are: an 85 core GPA, clear behavior record, willingness to complete community service, strong motivation and a desire to learn.

Only 60 students will be accepted into the graduating class of 2017. The official class will be posted May 15.
