Governor announces additional cuts to NCSS budget
Three more furlough days announced as well

Newton County School Superintendent Dr. Steve Whatley announced that in the budget presented to legislature by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, the NCSS will see more cuts this year.

 

Whatley said there is a 3 percent decrease in funds – which is approximately $2-3 million – as well as an additional three furlough days for staff.
