East Metro Hosts Saturday H1N1 Clinics

East Metro Health District will host H1N1 vaccination clinics at the Newton County Health Center from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 21 for CDC priority groups.  

The vaccine will be available to persons who fall into the priority groups recommended by the CDC:

 

• Pregnant women

• Healthcare and emergency medical personnel

• People who live with or care for infants younger than six months

• Anyone from six months to 24 years

• Anyone from 25 years to 64 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza related complications

 

The vaccine will be provided at no charge to the client. Persons are encouraged to bring their Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance cards with them, for proper billing.

Health Department clinics in Lawrenceville, Norcross, Buford, Conyers, and Covington will continue providing the H1N1 vaccine during regular clinic hours.
