ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal and U.S. Rep. Jody Hice are among the leaders expected to make a major economic announcement at the State Capitol on Wednesday.

Jody Hice, a Republican from Greensboro, represents Georgia's 10th District in Congress, including eastern Newton County.
The governor’s office announced a news conference for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Capitol. Livestreaming will be available hereWednesday afternoon.

Hice’s presence indicates the announcement concerns a project in the 10th District of Congress, an area that includes eastern Newton County.

Pat Wilson, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, is also expected to be at the event Wednesday along with representatives of the business community.
