PORTERDALE, Ga. - A Porterdale mother is desperately doing what she can to find her daughter, who was reported as a runaway Nov. 20.
Nicole Bullard told The Covington News her daughter, Christa Ragan Mobley, 15, ran away and has not been heard from since.
“She’s 15. She doesn’t get the option of being out in the streets,” Bullard said. “I’m scared for her.”
Bullard filed a missing person report with the Porterdale Police Department Nov. 20. Since then, the department has listed Mobley as a runaway on the Georgia Crime Information Center.
Bullard said she believes her daughter is pregnant and that is the reason she ran away.
If her daughter reads this, Bullard said she wants her to know, “I’m her mother, even if she is pregnant, I’m here. I love her and we’ll get through it.”
PPD Chief Jason Cripps said his department is doing everything it can to find Mobley. Since Mobley is a juvenile, Cripps could not provide specific information to The News.
"I understand, I really do," he said. "We're empathetic."
“We’re still trying to find her,” PPD Cpl. Charles Cook, who is leading the investigation, said. “It is an active and ongoing investigation and has been since her mom filed the report.”
Cook said Mobley is listed in GCIC and will come back as a runaway if her information is run by any law enforcement agency in the nation. PPD has also reached out to neighboring law enforcement agencies with a BOLO (be on the lookout).
“Law enforcement has gone out to different known locations,” he said.
"Her momma's worried to death about her and we're extending a helping hand," Cook said. "I know people have issues and there's turmoil throughout families and we're here to help."
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mobley is asked to contact PPD at 770-786-2226.
