The Covington Police Department (CPD) has made an arrest in the Feb. 18 burglary at Emergency Pawn.

CPD Captain Craig Treadwell told the News that a 16-year-old male from Decatur was arrested March 14 in connection with the theft of guns from the store. According to Treadwell, the teen has previously been arrested for burglary. He is currently being held at the Youth Detention Center (YDC) in Marietta.

Treadwell said that CPD made the arrest in Decatur with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). None of the stolen weapons was recovered.

CPD is continuing to follow leads in this case and the more recent burglary at the same location.
