Madison woman located in Conyers unharmed
Molly E. Hilsman

MADISON, Ga. - Molly E. Hilsman, the Madison woman reported missing by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week, was located alive and well in Conyers Wednesday.

Early Wednesday morning, the Conyers Police Department was contacted by a resident who frequently visits the Dairy Queen in Conyers. The resident claimed to have seen Hilsman at the restaurant, MCSO Sgt. Brandon Sellers told The Covington News.

Conyers police made contact with Hilsman and she reportedly told officers she was on her way to the beach.

Sellers said the police report she is unharmed and clean.

“Our focus here is to make sure she is healthy and safe,” he said. “She did not seem malnourished at all.

"This essentially completes our investigation into this missing person case."

Hilsman reportedly did not provide a reason for why she had not been in contact with her family since Memorial Day.

According to a Facebook post shared by the Covington Police Department earlier this week, Hilsman’s vehicle was recovered at the Park and Ride next to Highway 278 exit of Interstate 20.

“She had plans to visit friends at Piedmont Park that day (Memorial Day),” according to the missing flyer shared by CPD. “She has not been seen or heard from since by family, friends or her employer.”
