SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. - A fourth suspect in last week’s double homicide in Social Circle surrendered Sunday by walking into the Newton County Jail, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Jotavious “Lucky” Fredrick Gunn, 19, is charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault in the deaths of Dontravious Cullin-Stanley and Antavious Smith.
According to the GBI, Gunn, along with Dequann Gunn, 20, Quintadric Gunn, 21, and Dikemba Thomas, 20, shot the two victims in a home at 5709 Hightower Trail in Social Circle. Cullin-Stanley died at the scene, and Smith was transported by air to Atlanta Medical Center, where he died later.
GBI officials also reported finding drugs and stolen firearms at the location.
According to Jesse Maddox, GBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Dequann Gunn and Quintadric Gunn are brothers and live at the home where the shooting happened. Maddox said he was unsure if and how Jotavious Gunn is related to the others.
A seventh person in the home, and unidentified female, called 911 to report the shooting and hid in the home.
Maddox said the GBI is not discussing exactly what happened until its investigation is complete.
“We had a lot of projectiles and a lot of weapons,” he said. “We are still investigating that.”
Additional charges are possible against any of the defendants, he said.
