Dollar General robbed at gunpoint

COVINGTON, Ga.- The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is looking for two people who robbed a Dollar General on Highway 81 Tuesday night.

According to a NCSO incident report, an employee told Deputy Andrew Archie two black males wearing dark clothing came into the store with a handgun and demanded money from the register and jewelry of a customer.

The employee stated after they took the money and items, they ran out of the store, got into a dark-colored sedan and drove off.
