COVINGTON, Ga. - Covington Police Department (CPD) Captain Philip Bradford said the CPD is actively working an accident at the Badcock furniture store.

The driver, an elderly woman, reportedly told police the gas pedal on her car got stuck and she could not get it unstuck, which caused her to run into the storefront.

Bradford said no charges would be pressed because it is a private property accident.

The woman was transported to the hospital for a routine check, but no injuries were reported. 

Avoid the area if possible.
