Each year we wait for the joy of the holiday season and the arrival of Santa Claus.

This week I was able to follow Santa as he visited the square in downtown Covington.
Children rolled down car windows to wave to Santa.

People stopped shopping to run over and hug the man who delivers joy on Christmas Eve.

I watched the eyes of children light up and saw giant smiles spread across their faces as Santa greeted each with his familiar “Ho..Ho..Ho!!’’

I could feel and see the joy of Christmas all around.

To me, this experience was all about togetherness and the pure happiness of Christmas!
