A 65-year-old Covington man died of injuries sustained when he was stuck while riding his motorcycle Thursday evening.

James Burton Eenhuis was riding his Honda motorcycle westbound on Ga. Highway 81 when a 2002 Hyundai Accent being driven by 44-year-old Sophia Rene Cook turned left from Carroll Street and into the path of the motorcycle.

Eenhuis was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.

According to Georgia State Patrol Spokesman Gordy Wright, charges are pending against Cook following the completion of the follow-up investigation by the state patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
