The Arts Association of Newton County will be presenting country singer Corey Crowder this Saturday at the Oaks Golf Course.

The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at www.newtoncountyarts.org for $10, or can be purchased at the door for $12.

Crowder, 25, started performing in local clubs and bars when he was in his teens. The Covington native released his first album, "Learning to Let Go," in 2005. His latest effort, "Lost and Found," was released in 2009.

According to his web site, Crowder was raised on country music, which he has loved his whole life.

"It’s soul music," he said in a press release.
