The Covington Police Department received a call of unlawful entry at the Rainbow Community Shelter on Turner Lake Circle after a witness saw three black males wearing hoodies crawl in a window Tuesday evening.

Shortly before midnight Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning CPD arrived at the shelter, where officers found the farthest right hand window of the Eastridge building open.

A resident told officers that he heard someone walking around before officers arrived, but “that it was common for people to be in the building at all hours,” according to reports.

Officers were then taken into the computer room and told one computer, an eMachine, and a monitor were missing from the room.
