The Yellow River Jam

Party in the streets: It was an afternoon and evening of music and dance — The annual Yellow River Jam returned to Porterdale on Saturday.

Five bands will perform throughout the day. They included Larry and Anita Denny, Donnie Long, True Gospel Church Band, Apostles of Bluegrass and Jordan Rager will sing country from 6-8 p.m.

Food, as well as many varieties of arts and crafts were available for sale at the event. There were also be water balls, a space walk, putt-putt, face painting and clowns to entertain children.

The annual event is held each October in downtown Porterdale.
