Mary Arnwine, special projects chair of the Covington Garden Club, and her committee make flower arrangements monthly and deliver them to area nursing homes (Merryvale, Covington Manor and Riverside). Covington Garden Club members donate blooms and greenery from their gardens, and special projects committee spread cheer by forming these items into beautiful arrangements, which brighten the rooms and hallways of the three facilities. This project has been done for several months and is a continuing commitment of the Covington Garden Club. On Sept. 2, committee members delivered their arrangements to Merryvale Assisted Living.
