Registration deadlines near for CEWC summer camps

 Time is running out for registration for summer camp at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center. Registration deadline is June 1. Summer day camps are in the Brooke Ager Discovery area, run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and cost $100 per child.

 Camps for children 7 and 8 years old are June 16-19 and July 7-10. The camp Animal Adventures gives campers a chance to discover the amazing world of animals and their habitats through games and exploration.

 Wild Wisdom is the camp for children 9 and 10 years old. They are offered June 23-26 and July 14-17. The camp has hikes and games and teaches wilderness skills as shelter building, animal tracking and archery.

 An overnight camp is called Wildlife Week for children 11-14. Children get a hands-on "sneak peek" into what biologists and interpretive specialists do. Camps are held at the Charlie Elliott Conference Center and Lodge. Session I from June 8 – 12 is for ages 11 and 12. Session II from July 20 to 24 is for children 13 and 14.
