Pilot Club President visits Kentucky for international Pilots convention

Ann Brooks, President of the Pilot Club of Covington, joined more than a thousand Pilot members from all over the world at the Pilot International/Pilot International Foundation Annual Convention, held is Louisville, Ky., on July 7-11 at the Galt House.

Convention attendees also took part in a banquet and installation of Pilot International officers for 2010-2011. Guest speakers included the non-profit strategist and motivational speaker Vicki Clark and Donna Young from St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Ann has received recognition for being a 51-year member in the Pilot Club. She served as president for the years 1963-1964, 1971-1972, 1983-1984, 1997-1998 and is currently serving as president for the 2010-2011 years. She has also has 40 years perfect attendance.

For the past couple of years, she has chaired the fundraising "Pancake Breakfast with Santa." She has made sure that this project went above and beyond the annual anticipation of the event.

In addition to her volunteer work with the Pilot Club of Covington, she is also a devoted volunteer with the American Red Cross with the Disaster Assessment Team.

Founded in 1921, Pilot International is a service organization of volunteers working together to improve the quality of life in communities throughout the world.
