Newton Mentoring is having a recruitment reception tonight from 5 to 7 at The Center, located at 2104 Washington St. SW, next to the local chamber of commerce.

Newton Mentoring is a non-profit organization that provides adult mentors to students in the Newton County School System who need an adult presence in their life. The group is in great need of mentors, particularly men, said group founder Margaret Washington.
