A Covington Police Officer has been placed on paid leave pending a full review after he fired his service weapon when attempting to apprehend a man late Tuesday night.
According to CPD Detective Daniel Seals, it is standard procedure to place officers on paid leave pending a full review when they have to fire their weapon in the line of duty.
