The Arts Association of Newton County has announced its lineup for the spring sessions of Concerts on the Square.
Each concert will be held Thursday at noon in the square park, with a rain location for April 24-May 22 of the Turner Lake Recreation Center, and May 29 of the First Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall.

Opening the series will be the NCSS High School Honor Band/AHS Band April 24, followed by five weeks of varied music. Smooth Jazz musician Derwin Daniels performs May 1, followed by Folk Rock musician Conelly Crowe May 8, Bluegrass performers Appalachian Rhythm May 15, country musician Shane Millwood May 22 and blues band the Jon Browne quartet wrapping things up May 29.

The series is sponsored by The Covington News, Rob and Jean Fowler, Abbey Hospice, Main Street Covington, Baxter and Rockdale Physician Practices, along with Steel Co and Covington Ford for select performances.
