Today's Concert on the Square will take place as planned at noon, despite the morning fire at the law offices of Alexander Royston, which is also used as the outside of the Mystic Grill restaurant in "The Vampire Diaries."

Main Street Covington Director Josephine Kelly said officials were in the process of opening all of the streets downtown, with the exception of the north side of the square between Clark and Pace streets where public safety officials are still working.

She said none of the other surrounding buildings were significantly damaged, and she expected them to reopen shortly. Electricity has been restored, Kelly said.

"It's been a very stressful morning, but everyone seems to be doing well," Kelly said. "Public safety did an outstanding job."
