An intense presidential debate just ended but don't forget about your local races as The News and chamber are hosting their debate-style forum at 6 p.m., Wednesday at the Newton College and Career Academy, next to Newton High School.

It won't be a true debate, but candidates will have the opportunity to ask each other one question and respond to their opponent's statements as appropriate. Audience members are also invited to submit questions.

There have already been two General Election forums so far this year, but we believe ours will be the most pointed as candidates are asked to give their takes on specific issues.
