Charges dropped in stolen lawn equipment case
Newton County Judicial Center

COVINGTON, Ga. - The Newton County District Attorney's office has dismissed the charges against a man arrested last year with stolen lawn equipment.

Ruenell Rudison was arrested last March after a woman reportedly told authorities he tried to sell her the equipment.

According to the Nov. 20, 2019 document dismissing the charges, the equipment in question had been stolen four to 11 months prior to the incident in other counties. It  stated that Rudison had no involvement and is not a suspect in those cases and that it cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew, or should have known that the equipment was stolen.
