An expert on replacing the skills of retiring baby boomers will headline Newton County’s second annual Workforce Development Summit, scheduled for Feb. 26.

Mark Lautman, author of “When the Boomers Bail” and numerous white papers, will be guest speaker, according to Shannon Davis, Newton County director of business and workforce development. A facilitated roundtable discussion will follow.

About 130 area stakeholders – elected officials, board-of-education members, human resources directors and others – have been invited to the event, which will take place at the Center for Community Preservation, 2104 Washington St., in Covington.

Those interested in learning more about the event can call Davis at 770-786-7510.
