Conyers retail stores play moving game

Residents who shop in Conyers have noticed some changes in location to some popular retail stores. The Conyers Crossroads shopping center off of Dogwood Drive, which has Carmike Crossroads 16 movie theater and Kohl’s department store as its anchors, has seen two stores move locations and could see T.J.Maxx locate there is rumors prove true.

The first retail store to make the switch in its store address was Lifeway Christian Bookstore around the holiday season this past Christmas.

The new Lifeway location is only a few doors down from its original location and is smaller in size but still has everything to meet the needs of shoppers and churches. If resources are not available at the store, any Lifeway sales associate would be more than happy to help locate a particular item at another Lifeway location or order it online.

The now vacated Lifeway location has just recently been replaced with the Old Navy in the same Conyers Crossroads shopping center. The Old Navy has also downgraded in square footage but with the store new layout, much like the Old Navy location at Atlantic Station in Atlanta, the store looks much more organized and fully stocked with everyone’s favorite flip flops and jeans as well as other basics for the spring season.

That just leaves one vacant retail location up to be filled. Shoppers are already buzzing about the rumors of the T.J.Maxx in the Conyers Village shopping center making the switch over to the Conyers Crossroads location. The excitement stems from that possibility of the rumors being true because the now vacated Old Navy location is the biggest retail size of all three stores involved including the current T.J.Maxx at Conyers Village.

Shoppers are hoping that with the increased square footage of the vacant spot will allow for not only a regular T.J.Maxx to move into the space but a T.J.Maxx Homegoods store that includes “unique home décor and inspiration we can all afford.”

T.J.Maxx public relations at the corporate level were not available for comment to confirm the rumors by press time.
