Benton House of Covington, a senior living facility being built at 7155 Dearing Road, will open in July and reservations are being taken now. Director of Operations Mike Allard said Benton provides good-sized apartments with a lot of closet space, has easy access because all apartments are on the first floor and is the right size to provide a sense of community without crowding residents.

Allard said Benton will have 47 assisted-living apartments with several amenities including a full breakfast, lunch and dinner meal plan with continental and hot breakfasts, lunches and dinners that always provide five different meal options and snacks available all day.

Also included are housekeeping and linen service, scheduled transportation to medical appointments, medication assistance and personal assistance for bathing and grooming.

Benton House will also provide a full time social director that will focus on five key areas: spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional. There will be exercise programs, spiritual services and social gatherings, including monthly themed parties for residents and families.

Allard said Benton House will also have 12 separate Memory Care apartments for people with Alzheimer’s or memory loss. The apartments will have their own courtyard and dining area, and everything is carefully considered, Allard said, even the choice of art work.

Between 65 and 71 residents will live in the community, which will have studio, studio suite and three different styles of one bedroom apartments, ranging from 380 to 535 square feet. Monthly rent payments will start at $2,900.

Allard said the project will cost $7.5 million and will bring 25 to 30 jobs to the community.
