"It’s not just a job, it’s a passion."
McKinley likes helping people and giving them the opportunity to succeed in life, no matter how long and hard the road may seem.
McKinley has been working with JPS for a year. Previously, she worked with teen moms, taking them into her home to help them find jobs, get into school and improve their lives. She also has done volunteer work with the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club and a children’s group home. She has a 100- percent success rate for finding work sites and employers for her clients.
Although JPS works with the general public, they specialize and work closely with Newton County Department of Family and Children Services recipients. Recipients volunteer their skills for 90 days to prospective employers in order to demonstrate their potential for employment.
JPS has four locations, including one at 2120 Lee St. downtown. JPS was started in 2006 and is owned by Yolanda Dious. Everett Starling is vice president
