BREAKING: Missing Covington man located after Mattie's Call

COVINGTON, Ga. - Matthew Cole, 55, of Covington has been located after a Mattie's Call was issued Monday evening. 

Newton County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Cortney Morrison said Cole was located in Atlanta. He is reported to be safe. 

"Nothing further to release at this time," Morrison said. 

According to a Monday statement from Morrison, Cole was last seen at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital around 7 a.m. Monday. Before that he was reportedly seen Sunday around 2 p.m. near Broken Branch Court in Covington.

According to Morrison, Cole has dementia and cancer and has trouble walking. He is believed to be in danger because he needs medication he is currently without.
